THE PLANT DOCTOR, INC.

Christine Doctor is the founder and president of The Plant Doctor, Inc. a garden design and landscaping business located in Glen Cove. She began as an amateur gardener 45 years ago in Florida, with a primary focus on organic vegetable gardening, and went on to obtain a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscaping. She worked as a grower of bedding plants, managed a retail nursery, and started her first company, an interior landscaping business.

 In 1984, Christine moved to Long Island and worked for a company that specialized in designing and installing flower shows for a number of department stores, including the very extensive Macy's Flower Show at Herald Square (which she continued to do for 16 years). In 1988 she founded The Plant Doctor, Inc. Almost 35 years later, her business has significantly expanded and now offers a wide range of residential and commercial garden design, installation, maintenance, and landscape construction.

The Plant Doctor works with a wide range of clientele, including small residential and commercial customers as well as those with large properties and estates — from concept to completion. Christine especially enjoys working closely with her clients and takes pride in giving attentive consideration to the ideas and vision they bring to a design project.
