Landscaping

The Plant Doctor offers large and small landscape design, plant sourcing, garden construction, and installation. Every design is distinct, taking into consideration its natural setting, its existing features, and the goals and interests of our clients.

We incorporate native species and unique and unusual plant material which we know through experience will thrive. We create natural and formal gardens that will provide year-round bloom, color and interest.

In addition, The Plant Doctor provides contracting services for the installation of pools, irrigation systems, elevations or excavations using contractors who have demonstrated their professionalism and expertise.

Restoration

Old, mature or neglected gardens are refreshed. Our designs can incorporate existing plantings and matured specimens. Established gardens are invigorated with reorganization, select pruning, feeding and attention.

The Plant Doctor offers design services ranging from master plans for comprehensive property management down to highly specialized features of a larger garden, such as a woodland path, a terrace or pool area, a perennial garden, or an herb or cutting garden.

Maintenance & Pruning

The Plant Doctor offers scheduled services to protect and manage the health and sustainability of your property. We differ from other landscaping companies in the scope of the work we recommend. Our focus is the optimal health and maintenance of your plants. We encourage late winter pruning to promote healthy growth, regular feeding schedules, and the primary use of green practice.

In late winter, The Plant Doctor selectively prunes the appropriate shrubs and trees in order to maintain their natural shapes and promote organic growth and plant health. At the same time, we identify shrubs and plants that require specialized and specific pruning practices to control size and maximize beautiful and healthy growth. Pruning is part of our year-round management program.

Seasonal Plantings & Displays

Our plantings begin in early spring (early April) and are refreshed seasonally for summer, autumn and if desired, for winter, providing year- round appeal. Unique autumn and holiday displays, including tree lighting, and creative, individually designed outdoor or indoor decorations are offered.

Stone work & masonry

The Plant Doctor offers the design, procurement, and installation of garden stonework and masonry, including brick and stone walkways, patios, and dry stacked stone walls.
